Machine Learning Engineer, Local Search & Marketplace

📋 Description

• Build and improve ML models for search, ranking, retrieval, and personalization.
• Develop systems that understand user queries, behaviors, and context.
• Apply embeddings, NLP, LLMs, and retrieval to connect demand with local content.
• Build and optimize end-to-end ML pipelines from data prep to online serving.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to define ML problems.
• Design and analyze online/offline experiments to measure impact.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience building ML, data mining, search, ranking, NLP, or related systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, or other relevant language.
• Solid understanding of ML fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and statistics.
• Experience with search/retrieval/learning-to-rank; recommendation; NLP; embeddings/LLMs.
• Experience deploying ML models in production and running experiments.
• Background in local search, local services, maps, commerce, or marketplaces.
