Mainframe Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain a Java-based agent on IBM z/OS
• Build capabilities to scan mainframe tech (VSAM, QSAM, IMS, DB2, files)
• Design, implement, and support scalable software from development to prod
• Build and maintain microservices and APIs using Spring and Spring Boot
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability for large-scale data processing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with modern Java frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot
• Experience building distributed systems, APIs, or microservices
• Familiarity with containerized environments and Kubernetes
• Experience with IBM z/OS or enterprise mainframe environments
• Knowledge of mainframe technologies such as VSAM, QSAM, JCL, datasets, DB2, IMS
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
