Manager, Data Platform Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead a team of data platform engineers from early-career to senior levels.
• Define platform as a product with clear offerings and adoption goals.
• Standardize tooling and operating footprint with a focus on reliability and cost discipline.
• Architect and guide the platform evolution, including IaC and migration planning.
• Partner across data eng, analytics, BI, AI, and ML teams to align on roadmap.
• Own platform performance and cost metrics, and ensure documentation and runbooks are up to date.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years managing engineers with hands-on Terraform and data/infrastructure background.
• 6+ years in data engineering, platform engineering, or related infra work.
• Experience leading technical change with stakeholder alignment and phased migrations.
• Hands-on depth with cloud data platforms; Databricks and/or Snowflake; evaluate cost and capability.
• Strong AWS experience; familiarity with other clouds is a plus.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and Git-based CI/CD.
