Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead, hire, and grow a team of ~10 Forward Deployed Engineers.
• Partner with customers and internal teams to shape complex engagements delivering outcomes.
• Guide end-to-end solution delivery from discovery through deployment and enablement.
• Build trusted executive relationships and act as a senior technical advisor.
• Stay hands-on as the senior escalation point for architecture reviews and delivery.
• Coach engineers on solution design, stakeholder management, and career development.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience leading, hiring, and developing high-performing teams in customer-facing environments.
• Hands-on technical credibility: review designs, debug production issues, and escalate.
• Strong background in data engineering, big data systems, and production data platforms.
• Experience with modern data workloads: ingestion, transformation, orchestration, warehousing, analytics, streaming.
• Fluency in Python and SQL; familiarity with Apache Spark; Scala/Java a plus.
• Fluent Japanese required; business-level English required.
