📋 Description

• Lead and grow a team of Applied Scientists across the Product Analytics suite.
• Define the technical vision for agentic and proactive AI/ML capabilities: event understanding
• Stay hands-on as a technical contributor and reviewer, moving research prototypes to
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to shape how AI capabilities are built and
• Hire and onboard Applied Scientists as Datadog scales its AI investments.
• Represent the team’s progress to stakeholders across Product Analytics and wider AI initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced technical leader with an applied AI/ML background and hands-on research or applied
• People manager with strong technical credibility.
• Comfortable operating in greenfield ambiguity and defining direction where little exists.
• Experience taking ML/AI from research prototype to production in analytics, NLP, or user-behavior
• Clear communicator who can translate AI/ML concepts for product and engineering stakeholders.
• Motivated by early-stage, high-impact work and comfortable with ambiguity.
