Manager, Indirect Tax

📋 Description

• Gather and review data with providers to prepare sales/use tax returns in the U.S. and Canada
• Assist with indirect tax audits, refund claims, and responses to tax authorities
• Perform tax technical research on sales/use and other indirect tax matters
• Develop audit defense processes and maintain indirect tax filings calendar
• Validate tax engine configurations and calculation results
• Work with suppliers and purchasing on exemptions, incentives, and savings

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, finance, or related business
• 7+ years indirect tax experience in public accounting or at a large multinational
• Proficient in MS Excel and tax research tools (RIA Checkpoint)
• Experience with sales and use tax compliance and audits
• Experience with indirect tax software (Vertex, AvaTax)
• Familiarity with indirect taxes across multiple industries
