📋 Description

• Lead the architectural design and operations of enterprise-grade, multi-cloud relational databases
• Drive high-availability architecture strategies, including Multi-AZ deployments, auto-failover
• Oversee zero-downtime operations, including major-version engine upgrades, schema migrations, and
• Manage scale operations for in-memory datastores (AWS ElastiCache, Azure Cache for Redis) focusing
• Spearhead open-source caching initiatives and migration pathways from Redis to Valkey using
• Enforce an IaC-first engineering culture using Terraform, OpenTofu, Bicep, or CloudFormation

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of total software engineering/infrastructure experience, with at least 3–5 years in
• Deep hands-on experience operating managed relational databases in both AWS and Azure at enterprise
• Proven track record managing Redis clusters and navigating Redis-to-Valkey migration strategies
• Mastery of Infrastructure as Code principles (Terraform, OpenTofu, Bicep, or CloudFormation) and
• Demonstrated ability to optimize multi-cloud infrastructure costs, manage serverless vs.
• Direct experience implementing automated backups, zero-downtime blue/green deployments, major
