Managing Counsel, Product (Payroll experience required)

📋 Description

• Provide end-to-end product legal counsel for payroll and AI-enabled products, incl launch-readiness
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Payroll, Privacy, Security, and Commercial Legal teams across
• Advise on product terms, AI provisions, data/metadata use, IP, acceptable use, and transparency
• Monitor AI, tech, employment, data protection, and payroll regs across jurisdictions; translate
• Support compliance with EU AI Act, UK AI rules, US/regulations, Canadian AI laws, GDPR, CCPA.
• Collaborate with Privacy and Security on DPIAs, TIAs, incidents, vendor diligence for AI/LLM

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with substantial tech product advisory experience across jurisdictions.
• Proven product counsel experience in technology, esp HR tech, payroll, PEO/EOR, HRIS platforms.
• Ability to advise on complex products at scale across multiple jurisdictions.
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML regulatory frameworks (EU/UK/US/Canada).
• Strong link between AI regulation, data protection, employment, and payroll compliance.
• Significant payroll compliance experience, ideally multi-jurisdiction.
