Managing Counsel, Product (Payroll experience required)

📋 Description

• Provide end-to-end product legal counsel for payroll and AI-enabled products.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Payroll, Privacy, Security, and Commercial Legal teams.
• Advise on product terms, AI provisions, data ownership, and transparency requirements.
• Monitor AI, tech, employment, data protection, and payroll regs across jurisdictions.
• Support compliance with GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act, and UK AI regulation.
• Collaborate with Privacy/Security on DPIAs, TIAs, and vendor diligence.

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with experience advising technology products.
• Product counsel experience in HR tech, payroll, PEO/EO, HRIS.
• Ability to advise across multiple jurisdictions and complex products.
• Deep knowledge of AI/regulatory frameworks (EU/UK/US/Canada).
• Understanding of AI regulation, data protection, employment and payroll compliance.
• Payroll compliance experience across jurisdictions; in-house tech company experience preferred.
