๐Ÿ“‹ Description

  • Provide end-to-end product legal counsel for payroll and AI-enabled products, including
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Payroll, Privacy, Security, and Commercial Legal teams across
  • Advise on product terms, AI-specific provisions, data/metadata use, IP ownership, acceptable use
  • Monitor AI, tech, employment, data protection, and payroll regulations across jurisdictions and
  • Support compliance with EU AI Act, UK AI regulation, US developments, GDPR, and CCPA.
  • Collaborate with Privacy and Security on DPIAs, TIAs, incident response, and vendor diligence

๐ŸŽฏ Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with substantial tech product advisory experience across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proven product counsel experience in HR tech, payroll, PEO/EO, HRIS, or related platforms.
  • Experience advising on complex products at scale, across jurisdictions, with AI/ML regulatory
  • Strong understanding of AI regulation, data protection, employment law, and payroll compliance.
  • In-house legal experience in tech or fast-growing environments; startup experience is a plus.
  • Excellent English communication; ability to translate complex legal concepts to tech/non-tech
