๐Ÿ“‹ Description

  • Provide materials and process support for propulsion system designs and manufacturing
  • Improve reliability of designs and processes via material and process development
  • Develop physical, mechanical, and thermal properties for materials
  • Improve additive processes and materials, focusing on LPBF of nickel-based superalloys
  • Work directly with additive engineering and manufacturing teams daily
  • Perform root cause investigations using fractography, metallography, and testing

๐ŸŽฏ Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in materials engineering or related field
  • 1+ years' experience developing/qualifying LPBF for nickel-based superalloys (Inconel 718/625)
  • Direct LPBF parameter development, build optimization, and post-processing experience (HIP, heat treat)
  • Metallurgical characterization and mechanical testing of additively manufactured nickel alloys
  • Knowledge of aerospace metals: nickel alloys, stainless steels, aluminum, titanium
  • Hands-on manufacturing experience
