Materials Engineer, AI Satellites (Starmind)

📋 Description

• Rapidly develop high-reliability microelectronics packages for satellites
• Own full lifecycle of materials specification and validation
• Drive system trades, requirements capture, and materials selection
• Build supply chains for build-up layers, coatings, TIM materials
• Address packaging challenges and develop next-gen TIM materials
• Implement in-process metrology tools and design thermal test setups

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in materials science, mechanical engineering, or related engineering discipline
• Experience in microelectronics device research or manufacturing
• Master’s degree in materials science or similar field
• Internship, co-op, or early-career experience in hardware, robotics, or manufacturing
• Experience designing tooling, fixtures, or jigs for assembly or test applications
• Exposure to scripting or data analysis tools (Python, MATLAB) for process data analysis
