Materials Engineering Technologist

📋 Description

• Conduct laboratory tests; obtain competency in all tests conducted in the laboratory over time.
• Know and be comfortable with standards codes such as ASTM, ASME, CSA, NACE, API, AWS.
• Awareness of all testing results and how they apply to the given code; flag failed test results to
• Organize daily testing tasks based on workflow and due dates.
• Maintain laboratory and personal work area in a clean and professional manner.
• Work within the rules of the ISO 17025 quality program.

🎯 Requirements

• Post-secondary education (degree and/or diploma) in Materials Engineering Technology, Welding
• Be registered with or be eligible for registration with the Association of Science and Engineering
• 3-5 years of relevant laboratory experience would be an asset.
• Proficient in various computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others and independently.
