Mechanical Design Engineer

📋 Description

• Collaborate with reactor teams on new reactor systems, assemblies, and parts.
• Oversee machining of components; guide from R&D to production; balance performance vs cost.
• Design reactor systems and components; apply machine design, mechanics, kinematics, and thermals/fluids.
• Manage prototyping, documentation, and fabrication; prepare drawings and coordinate with shops/vendors.
• Troubleshoot existing reactor designs; implement changes to improve productivity and yield.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering required; 0-3 years design exp.
• Vacuum system design experience in semiconductor/aerospace or manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with machining methods; high proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks).
• Electromechanical components; PLCs and industrial controls; thermal/fluid modeling desirable.
• Hands-on, creative, curious mindset with drive to work on hardware.
