Mechanical Design Engineer - Sensor Cleaning

📋 Description

• Develop sensor cleaning components and systems to keep sensors free of contaminants.
• Perform packaging studies, tolerance analysis, DFMEA, DFM/DFA, reliability assessments.
• Design and build mockups, proofs of concept, and functional prototypes.
• Develop and release CAD models, engineering drawings, and BOMs.
• Support test engineering and validation teams in design, failure analysis, and quality management.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality to ramp production processes.

🎯 Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic BS + 5 yrs or MS + 3 yrs automotive exp.
• Strong design fundamentals: plastic injection molded parts, sheet metal, tolerance stack-up.
• Fluid/pneumatic systems; thermal/heating system integration.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (CATIA, NX, Creo, or SolidWorks).
• Experience leading cross-functional teams; DV/PV testing, DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP.
• Optical sensor/ADAS experience a bonus.
