Mechanical Designer

📋 Description

• Develop detailed 3D SolidWorks models and assemblies from sketches and specs.
• Create fully populated assemblies to support production docs and downstream manufacturing.
• Apply GD&T to drawings and models to ensure clarity and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate concepts into manufacturable designs.
• Maintain CAD data in PDM/PLM, managing revisions and documentation.
• Support prototype development and design reviews, incorporating feedback to refine designs.

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of SolidWorks 3D modeling in engineering, manufacturing, or product development.
• Advanced SolidWorks part modeling, assemblies, and drawings.
• Machining, sheet metal fabrication, and large assembly knowledge for manufacturability.
• GD&T knowledge with ASME drawing standards.
• CAD data management using PDM/PLM (SolidWorks PDM, Windchill).
• CSWP or CSWA certification.
• Familiarity with UL standards (UL891/UL508A/UL67/UL1008).
