Mechanical Designer (Contract)

📋 Description

• Support the design of mechanical products, including system layout, packaging, and overall product
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, part and assembly drawings, bills of materials, and design
• Support prototype builds, review first articles, and incorporate feedback into design updates.
• Assist with verification testing by preparing test hardware, documenting results, and updating
• Provide technical documentation and design support for component sourcing and supplier coordination.

🎯 Requirements

• Diploma, degree, or equivalent training in mechanical design, mechanical engineering technology, or
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, Onshape, or a similar CAD system, including sheet metal design
• Strong understanding of design for manufacturing, tolerance stack-up, GD&T, and practical
• Ability to interpret and work from engineering calculations, test results, and design requirements
• 5+ years of experience creating designs for fabricated components and assemblies using a range of
• Safety-focused, with an understanding of applicable regulatory and product design requirements.
