Mechanical Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the mechanical design and development of subsystem hardware from concept to production
• Design and fabricate reactors and other continuous process systems
• Collaborate with automation and controls engineers on integrated system development
• Lead hands-on testing, hardware iteration, and rapid prototyping
• Drive manufacturability, part selection, and tolerance for scalable production
• Conduct engineering analysis including stress, thermal, and DFMEA

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of professional experience in hardware design and development
• Strong proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD tools (Siemens NX, Fusion 360, or equivalent)
• Demonstrated application of mechanical fundamentals - structural, thermal, and materials - to deliver robust, well-engineered designs
• Demonstrated experience owning hands-on, end-to-end hardware development efforts (industry projects, FSAE, Design-Build-Fly, rocketry teams, or similar)
