Mechanical Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead the design, release, and delivery of components and subsystems, from concept through
• Design and develop mechanical structural mounting systems and cosmetic exterior enclosures for self
• Identify optimum materials (e.g., Aluminum, Steel, Polymers) and manufacturing processes for
• Ensure on-time delivery of these systems and components against program targets for cost, weight
• Execute quality and robustness activities such as DFMEA and DVP&R
• Collaborate with multiple departments including attribute leads, cross functional engineering

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 10 years of progressive
• 8 years of experience in design of structural and cosmetic automotive exterior components using a
• Integration of self driving vehicle hardware/sensors (cameras, Radar, Lidar, antennas) for
• CAD design tools (Catia V5/V6 preferred) focusing on 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation, and
• Developing solutions for both low volume (<20000 units per year) and high volume (>300000
• Developing vehicle exterior components for pedestrian protection, in compliance with regulation
