Mechanical Engineer (CH)

📋 Description

• Complete lifecycle design of plastic enclosures and mechanical assemblies for consumer electronics.
• Develop DFM and DFA solutions for mass production (injection molding, sealing, serviceability).
• Collaborate with hardware/embedded engineers, industrial designers, QA, and manufacturing.
• Design ergonomic, intuitive solutions adaptable to different operating environments.
• Prepare production transfer docs: 2D drawings, specs, and 3D mold models.
• Support mold development and approve modifications after initial mold trials (T0T2).

🎯 Requirements

• SolidWorks: 3D modeling (95% solids), basic sheet metal.
• Create precise assemblies; apply tolerances; prep models for molding.
• Mold design: gating, parting lines; address short shots and risks.
• Materials: ABS, PC, PC+ABS, PA+GF, TPE, TPU; material behavior.
• DFM/DFA focus: optimize for scalability, cost, cycle time.
• Documentation & comms: PDFs/STEP/Excel; English for suppliers.
