Mechanical Engineer (Data Center MEP Systems)

📋 Description

• Design mechanical cooling systems for data centers: chilled water, CRAH/CRAC, AHU
• Own plumbing system design: domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage
• Evaluate direct liquid cooling: direct-to-chip, rear-door exchangers, immersion
• Perform heat load calculations, airflow modeling, capacity planning
• Develop piping design, pump sizing, hydraulics for loops
• Review mechanical/plumbing drawings with architectural, electrical, and fire protection teams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• 5+ years in mechanical/plumbing design for mission-critical facilities or data centers
• HVAC and hydronic system design knowledge: chilled water plants, cooling towers, AHUs
• Plumbing design and code compliance (domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage)
• Read and produce mechanical/plumbing construction documents, P&IDs, and equipment schedules
• Direct data center design/operations experience, ideally hyperscale or colocation
