Mechanical Engineer II, Space Systems

📋 Description

• Own upgrade modules from concept to completion
• Ensure upgrade modules integrate with the spacecraft
• Analyze requirements and develop trade studies on mechanical systems
• Create and iterate CAD models; produce 2D drawings
• Perform tolerance stack-up analyses and CAD-based checks
• Apply mechanical engineering principles to load paths, thermal, vibration

🎯 Requirements

• 3-4 years experience designing, modeling, and creating drawings for spacecraft
• Hands-on experience building and testing flight hardware
• Familiarity with machining, welding, forming, and joining processes
• Experience with avionics, optics, and harnessing
• Experience with EP or Chem Prop systems and integration
• Ability to think in a systems mindset; understand how subsystems affect others
