Mechanical Engineer (Starship Components Manufacturing)

📋 Description

• Design factory and process for high-quality flow control devices and actuators.
• Optimize production flow with targeted automation and bottleneck indicators.
• Collaborate with development/design engineers, machine shops, and vendors.
• Maintain simple work instructions and track defects and part movement.
• Support component tests and yield investigations.
• Aim for zero defects and readiness for crewed missions.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years mechanical design or hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Leadership or mentorship experience; ability to communicate across levels.
• Experience in build/test development and on-time delivery of new components.
• Experience with fluid/electromechanical components (valves, actuators, regulators).
• Knowledge of fluid dynamics, mechanics, materials, thermodynamics, and electrical circuits.
