📋 Description

• Design and integrate vehicle structures and trim for Waymo vehicles
• Collaborate with OEM partners to co-define changes to base vehicle architecture and components
• Work with internal teams (Styling, Product, System Architecture, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) to
• Interface with Tier One suppliers to bring designs to production, addressing DFM and quality
• Prepare trade matrices considering weight, cost, and packaging; recommend paths forward
• Develop hardware across materials and manufacturing technologies (injection molding, castings

🎯 Requirements

• ~10 years Product Design experience; launched multiple car platforms through concept to production
• Experience with vehicle structures and cosmetic A-Class components; must meet stiffness, cost, and
• Experience with metals, plastics, and composites; knowledge of Catia (V5/V6) for 3D/2D
• Ability to communicate with leadership, OEMs, and Tier 1 suppliers; supplier engagement and
• Read moldflow results and interpret tooling design impacts; familiarity with tooling design/PPAP
• Travel to Novi, MI and vendor/OEM partners as needed (approx. quarterly; 4-6 weeks cadence)
