Medical Billing/AR Specialist - Remote

📋 Description

• Handle payment collection activities for appeals and disputes
• Contact government agencies and payers by phone, email, or online
• Seek additional information from patients and records as needed
• Research health plans for benefits and coverage types
• Review contracts for billing/coding issues and request adjusted bills
• Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Understanding of revenue cycle from access to PFS
• Familiar with MMC, HMO, PPO, IPA concepts
• Knowledge of Managed Care contracts and regulatory requirements
• UB04 and HCFA 1500 familiarity
• Medical claims or hospital collections experience
• High school diploma or related experience
