Medical Laboratory Assistant

📋 Description

• Receive, sort and register patient specimens accurately
• Prepare samples for analysis and perform data entry using LIMS
• Operate laboratory equipment including centrifuges and pipettes
• Prepare and package referral samples for external labs
• Handle and dispose of biological samples safely
• Support quality and compliance activities to maintain UKAS accreditation

🎯 Requirements

• GCSEs in English, Maths and a Science subject
• Degree in Biomedical Science or Life Sciences desirable
• Experience in a laboratory or scientific environment
• Understanding of lab procedures and health and safety
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer systems
• Strong data entry, accuracy and organisational skills
