Medical Scribe - Full Time

📋 Description

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
• Interpret CPT/ICD-10 codes and prior authorizations for neurology.
• Maintain accurate patient and insurance details in the PM system.
• Clarify discrepancies with patients and explain coverage.
• Collaborate with billing to resolve issues affecting billing.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and privacy in processes.

🎯 Requirements

• 1 year of healthcare insurance verification or medical billing experience; neurology preferred.
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 codes for neurology.
• Proficiency with practice management software and EHR (Allscripts/Veradigm).
• Knowledge of insurance plans (PPO, HMO, EPO, Medicaid/Medicare) and billing.
• Ability to read and interpret payer information; strong documentation.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills.
