Member of Technical Staff, Data Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• Own and enhance billing infrastructure: pricing, usage ingestion, invoicing, and revenue workflows.
• Resolve platform gaps: pricing flexibility, account hierarchy, overages, prepaid/credit logic.
• Integrate billing with ERP, payments, and cloud marketplaces for automated invoicing.
• Implement deferred revenue and prepaid amortization across billing models.
• Build and maintain an end-to-end OTC data pipeline (usage to GL).
• Establish authoritative data models; ensure transaction-level reconciliation.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in billing engineering, revenue systems, or OTC at SaaS/usage-based.
• Experience with Billing Systems, ERP, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Strong SQL & BigQuery; design schemas, complex queries, dbt models.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks/NetSuite; map billing to GL and reconcile.
• Experience with payment platforms: processing, dunning, refunds, cash applications.
• Familiarity with cloud marketplace billing (AWS/GCP/Azure) and settlements.
