Mental Health Specialist II - Acute Behavioral Services

📋 Description

• Direct support to individuals with intensive behavioral/mental-health needs.
• Follow behavior/treatment plans, crisis-prevention, de-escalation, and restraints as trained.
• Maintain a clean, safe living space; assist with daily living tasks and activities.
• Document services and observations in electronic systems (T-logs, Therap).
• Monitor behavioral changes; escalate concerns and communicate with team during crises.
• Support families; assist with appointments and medication tasks as allowed.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years' experience with chronic mental illness or a degree in mental-health field.
• Must be at least 18; some programs require 21+.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic documentation systems.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs; stand and walk for extended periods.
