Mental Health Specialist II - Acute Behavioral Services

📋 Description

• Direct support for individuals with intensive behavioral and mental-health needs.
• Follow behavior plans, treatment plans, crisis-prevention, and de-escalation as trained.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment; assist daily living, tasks, transportation, and community engagement.
• Document services and observations in electronic systems (T-logs, Therap, health tracking).
• Monitor behavioral changes; identify escalation indicators; communicate during crises.
• Support families with appointments and medication tasks as allowed.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years minimum experience with chronic/severe mental illness or degree in mental-health field.
• Must be at least 18 (some programs require 21+).
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills; ability to use electronic documentation systems.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs; stand and walk for extended periods.
