Mental Health Specialist II - Acute Behavioral Services

📋 Description

• Provide direct support to individuals with intensive behavioral and mental-health needs in group
• Follow behavior support plans, treatment plans, crisis-prevention strategies, and manual restraint
• Maintain a clean, safe, structured living environment; assist with daily living skills and
• Document services and observations using electronic systems (T-logs, Therap, health tracking).
• Monitor behavioral changes and escalate concerns to supervisors during crisis situations.
• Participate in team meetings and support training of new staff.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; OR a degree in a mental-health–related field.
• 3 years minimum experience with individuals with chronic/severe mental illness, or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old (some programs require 21+).
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; basic computer skills and ability to use electronic
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; ability to stand/walk for extended periods; manage physically
• Strong communication, crisis response, and teamwork abilities.
