Mental Health Specialist II - Acute Behavioral Services

📋 Description

• Provide direct support to individuals with intensive behavioral and mental-health needs.
• Support individuals per behavior and treatment plans, crisis-prevention, de-escalation, and manual
• Maintain a clean, safe, structured living environment; assist with daily living, tasks
• Document services, observations, health concerns, and program activities using electronic systems
• Monitor behavioral changes; identify escalation indicators; communicate with supervisors during
• Support family/personal contacts and assist with appointments and medication tasks as allowed.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years minimum of experience with individuals with chronic/severe mental illness OR a degree in a
• Must be at least 18 years old (some programs require 21+)
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic documentation systems
