Microbiologist

📋 Description

• Perform microbiological testing analysis, able to identify colony morphologies for all test types
• Able to complete further confirmatory work on suspect colonies where required and be able to train
• Enter results into the Laboratory IT system and ensure the correct result is calculated for
• Work in line with quality procedures to complete all aspects of work.
• Support with daily quality tasks such as calibration checks, Daily Process Controls, Internal and
• Work with the team to ensure all result validation and reporting is completed each day in

🎯 Requirements

• Maths, English, Chemistry or Biology at GCSE grade C or above or equivalent
• Knowledge of microbiological testing methods and laboratory safety protocols
• Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the food or water sector
• Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good laboratory skills and practices
• Computer literate
