ML Tech Lead

📋 Description

• Lead Evvy's ML team in R&D to turn microbiome data into product-ready models.
• Set the technical quality bar; review methods, models, and code for validation.
• Define timelines and roadmaps; surface risk early for tradeoffs.
• Manage day-to-day ML team operations; 1:1s, performance, hiring, cadence.
• Translate ML work for clinical, product, engineering, and leadership.
• Partner with product and engineering to ship validated models.

🎯 Requirements

• 6–9 years in ML or data science, with prior experience managing ML/research ICs.
• Deep fluency to review methods, models, and code without building.
• Proven track record shipping on realistic timelines; translate science into plans.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with product, clinical, and engineering.
• Comfortable communicating with non-technical stakeholders.
• Microbiome/healthcare experience a plus; senior ML leadership in science-driven product.
