Motion Planning Engineer

📋 Description

• Write software for real autonomous aircraft systems (Group 1-5 UAVs) and simulations.
• Build and improve aerial autonomy software architectures for real deployments.
• Collaborate with DoD experts and UAS vendors to integrate autonomy software.
• Develop core path planning capabilities across all aerial platforms.
• Integrate core GNC algorithms into software and product stacks.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support defense and commercial apps.

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in autonomous vehicle motion planning or robotics.
• 3D+ path planning with RRT* or similar.
• 2/2.5D grid-based planning with A*.
• Autonomy algorithms in C++ or Python.
• Outer-loop control systems experience.
• Strong functional, procedural, data-oriented, and OO programming.
• Experience using Git, Visual Studio Code, GitLab.
