NPI Manufacturing Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop and implement assembly and test processes for robotic surgical instruments
• Confirm engineering requirements and consider process risks to guide development
• Identify opportunities for poka-yoke, DfX, semi-automated and automated solutions
• Provide input on design for assembly with emphasis on safety, reliability, serviceability
• Respond to, escalate, and resolve emergent issues on the manufacturing line
• Assist with validation, qualification, and documentation of manufacturing equipment and processes

🎯 Requirements

• BS in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Manufacturing Engineering plus 2+ years experience; MS preferred
• Solid modeling/CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred)
• Introductory understanding of manufacturing processes: injection molding, machining, stamping
• Introductory knowledge of Minitab, Excel or other statistical analysis software
• Skills in prototyping, tooling development, process engineering, troubleshooting
• Strong communication and project participation skills
