Oil Market Analyst

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end data quality and coverage for DPP markets, flows, geographies.
• Lead data investigations; identify root causes; implement fixes.
• Perform and oversee data validation, ingestion, and backtesting vs benchmarks.
• Act as a Data Ops focal point for DPP with Data Scraping, Product, Engineering.
• Identify data gaps; drive initiatives to improve granularity and accuracy.
• Engage with commercial teams to translate client feedback into improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, Energy, Data Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in oil markets with exposure to Crude or refined oil products.
• Strong understanding of global trade flows, shipping, and refinery dynamics.
• Proven experience with large, complex datasets and driving data quality improvements.
• Advanced data handling: Excel (Advanced), SQL (Intermediate), Python (Basic–Intermediate).
• Deep understanding of data flows, processing, and validation methodologies.
