Operations Engineer (Starship)

📋 Description

• Design and own factory layouts using visual indicators and linear flow
• Conduct job walks with vendors, negotiate prices, and ensure schedules
• Host process walks of production lines, delete or simplify steps, and drive changes
• Develop production strategy to mitigate risks and improve quality, output
• Develop tools to analyze delivery, capacity, and cost to guide decisions
• Identify operational challenges, determine root cause, and implement solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience (professional or internship)
• Process engineering: project management, capacity modeling, layouts
• Inventory, production, capacity planning (MRP/ERP systems)
• Excel, SQL, or Python/R for analysis
• Statistics, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, visualization
