Packaging and Sustainability Manager

📋 Description

• Lead packaging development from init through launch.
• Create and maintain packaging specs, BOMs, drawings, and docs.
• Support commercialization including trials, scale-up, and first production runs.
• Develop packaging test plans with external labs for compatibility and shelf-life.
• Identify and resolve packaging-related issues during development and production.
• Partner with Supply Chain and suppliers on components and cost optimization.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years packaging engineering in a CPG/regulatory environment.
• Hands-on packaging development for primary and secondary packaging.
• Experience with contract manufacturers, packaging suppliers, and external testing labs.
• Experience owning packaging specs, trackers, or sustainability datasets.
• Travel up to 30% to Jonson City TN, Nashville TN, or CMOs.
