Payroll Manager

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end payroll for ~300 employees across ~30 states in Rippling.
• Own payroll accounting, including journal entries in NetSuite and GL variances.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reconciliations.
• Support month-end close by preparing payroll accruals and variance analysis.
• Reconcile payroll tax filings, resolve notices, ensure wage-and-hour compliance.
• Design and maintain robust payroll processes and internal controls to scale cleanly.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of payroll experience with strong payroll accounting and GL reconciliation.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business Admin, or related field.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, payroll tax regs (federal, state, local).
• Hands-on experience with HRIS/payroll systems and with ERP like NetSuite.
• Strong reconciliation skills and ability to investigate variances and implement solutions.
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets.
