Payroll Operations Manager

📋 Description

• Own global payroll end-to-end across U.S. and international jurisdictions.
• Ensure accurate, compliant, on-time payroll for employees, contractors, and commissions.
• Build scalable systems, automation, controls, and documentation for higher volumes.
• Manage vendors and partners including payroll providers and benefits admins.
• Oversee payroll tax compliance, registrations, withholding, deposits, and filings.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, People Ops, Tax, and Legal to streamline processes.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in payroll, accounting operations, or finance operations.
• Deep domestic and international payroll experience; cross-border matters with EORs and providers.
• Strong US payroll tax compliance knowledge (federal, state, local).
• International payroll tax knowledge and coordination with local providers.
• Fluency with enterprise payroll platforms (ADP, Workday, Rippling) and vendor management.
• Based in San Francisco and able to work in-office 5 days/week.
