People Specialist (HR Specialist)

📋 Description

• Shape and nurture local workplace culture aligned with NMI's global values
• Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives with the global People team
• Create a welcoming office environment with events and local perks
• Manage employee relations and mitigate employment risks with leaders
• Ensure full compliance with SA labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EE Act)
• Represent NMI at CCMA and with external service providers

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Labour Law, or related field
• 5-7 years progressive HR experience
• Practical knowledge of SA employment law and case law
• Proven CCMA representation with outcomes
• Experience supporting managers in a global or multinational org (US exposure required)
• HR certification preferred (e.g., SABPP, CPHR SA)
