Performance Engineer - Performance Analysis & Tuning

📋 Description

• Find production bottlenecks and clearly characterize them for the owning team.
• Partner with database teams (Multigres, OrioleDB) and infra teams to deliver improvements.
• Build and evolve performance methodologies and tooling from live data to insight.
• Partner with the observability team to capture signals and unify platform performance.
• Help teams self-serve performance analysis and make performance a first-class engineering concern.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep experience in performance engineering and analysis of complex distributed systems.
• Walk the full stack: from query optimizer to IO, across network paths.
• Deep expertise in Linux kernel internals or database internals.
• Strong networking and cloud performance knowledge, including AWS, EBS, IOPS.
• Proven ability to turn performance insights into product and architecture improvements.
• Strong written communication and a pragmatic, tooling-oriented mindset.
