Peterborough Examiner One-Year Reporter Journalism Internship (Temp Full-time)

📋 Description

• Work with editors to produce original, trustworthy journalism.
• Cover the community with events, breaking news and interviews.
• Participate in training to develop reporting and research abilities.
• Attend virtual and in-person team meetings; contribute to planning.
• Translate complex information into digestible stories for readers.
• Monitor social media and community networks for breaking news.

🎯 Requirements

• Must be a current or graduating post-secondary student eligible to work in Ontario.
• Annual internship runs Sept 2026 to Aug 2027.
• Able to work full-time hours including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Access to reliable personal transportation.
• Represented by CWA Canada Local 30248.
• No volunteers, short-term placements, or co-ops.
