Pharmacy Technician Operations Coordinator

📋 Description

• Provide support to hospital pharmacy staff and Shields Liaisons to ensure accurate integration of
• Educate pharmacy staff on the specialty pharmacy model and patient care
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists and/or clinicians as appropriate
• Identify medications requiring special storage or handling (e.g., hazardous, refrigerated)
• Identify necessary supplies for select medications (e.g., sharps containers, needles/syringes)
• Answer, resolve, and triage inbound inquiries

🎯 Requirements

• Required: 3+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, or a Bachelor's degree
• Preferred: 5-8 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Nationally certified as a CPhT preferred but not required; if not certified, commitment to obtain
• Experience working with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, preferably in a
• Strong interpersonal communication and phone skills
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
