Photonics Architect

📋 Description

• Propose innovative photonic designs (modulators, receivers, multiplexers, lasers, amplifiers) for the product.
• Collaborate with the photonic design team to estimate device performance, power, and area.
• Collaborate with analog engineering to deliver a high-bandwidth photonic interconnect.
• Author, review, and validate architectural specifications.

🎯 Requirements

• PhD in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, or photonics-related field.
• In-depth knowledge of photonic devices and semiconductor physics.
• Experience with integrated silicon photonics components and tools: FDTD, numerical, Verilog-A, VPI Photonics.
• Ability to collaborate in a cross-disciplinary team.
• Strong problem solving skills for non-obvious, hard problems.
