Physical Testing Technician

📋 Description

• Review work as it is booked into the laboratory, to ensure that the correct testing has been
• Schedule and prioritise laboratory testing to meet agreed turnaround times and customer deadlines.
• Preparation and testing of leathers, textiles and polymers using a wide range of standard physical
• Preparation of shoes and shoe components for testing, and assessment of their durability and
• Conduct flammability testing using standard test methods.
• Shoe fitting assessments using models at local nurseries, schools and clubs, training provided.

🎯 Requirements

• Ideal candidate will have experience of working in a commercial testing laboratory.
• Desirable to have knowledge of or experience with textiles and leather.
• Education GCSEs at grade 4/C or above in English, Mathematics and a science subject, or equivalent
• Desirable to have a relevant Level 3 qualification, such as A levels in science, a BTEC in Applied
• Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accurate testing, precise record-keeping and
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to schedule and prioritise testing, manage multiple
