Platform Engineer, Public Sector

📋 Description

• Design and maintain the reference cloud substrate for federal programs (AWS, GovCloud, VPC, IAM).
• Operate Kubernetes platform patterns and RBAC; manage autoscaling and upgrades.
• Build and own a shared Terraform module library used across programs.
• Develop a CI/CD paved road with security gates for self-service deployment.
• Build observability patterns, dashboards, alerts, and SLO scaffolding.
• Own cloud cost across the portfolio with forecasting and governance.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of production cloud engineering on AWS, with IAM, VPC, EKS, S3, KMS, CloudTrail.
• Hands-on experience inside a FedRAMP boundary (Moderate/High).
• Strong Terraform skills and module authorship.
• Production Kubernetes / EKS experience; cluster upgrades, RBAC, network policies, autoscaling.
• CI/CD ownership at production scale with security gates (image/dep scanning, IaC policy).
• Observability ownership at meaningful scale.
