Platform Engineer – Self-Service Data Platform

📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain the self-service data platform (storage, access, lifecycle).
• Develop reusable platform services and tooling for data access.
• Design and optimize cloud storage for scalable workflows with modern formats.
• Contribute to IaC with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
• Implement secure-by-design controls: access, data classification, least-privilege.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize platform capabilities.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5+ years in platform/infra engineering with production ownership.
• Hands-on IaC experience, Terraform, plus Kubernetes, Helm, and containers.
• Strong knowledge of cloud storage, object stores, relational DBs, Parquet/Delta/Iceberg.
• Experience with Dagster, Airflow, Prefect, or similar workflow tools.
• Strong Python or other language for platform/data engineering.
• Security experience: IAM, RBAC, least-privilege.
• Product-oriented mindset building self-service platforms for developers.
• Excellent collaboration in remote, cross-functional environments; AWS experience desirable.
