Postdoctoral Researcher - CORDAP

📋 Description

• Deliver CORDAP-funded project outcomes, contributing to project planning, timelines, and progress
• Run coral spawning and early life stage experiments in ex situ coral systems, including broodstock
• Conduct in situ coral spawning work in Roatán, Honduras, including night spawning dives, gamete
• Design experiments, manage and analyze data, and lead and contribute to scientific papers; present
• Contribute to outreach and education efforts at the Academy and in the field.
• Work collaboratively with the Department of Invertebrate Zoology and Geology, Steinhart Aquarium

🎯 Requirements

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in a relevant discipline, with all requirements completed by the starting
• Demonstrated laboratory and field skills with corals, including work on tropical coral reefs, with
• Experience with coral biology, coral spawning, and early life stages (gametes, larvae, settlement
• Experience with experimental design and statistics.
• Experience with genomics and/or bioinformatics desired.
• Strong knowledge of coral biology and reproduction, including spawning and early life stage
